Blessed

A few days back my eyes were infected, I could hardly open my eyes wide. That was painful and I decided to go to the eye specialist. They told me that I have a lot of white specks on my eyes and that was what's causing the pain. I was advised to wear spectacles but I only have one pair of spectacles which I have been wearing since Secondary 4! The reason why I never change to another pair is because I seldom wear it at all, since all the while I've been wearing lenses... There are a lot of scratches in it and the left side of the frame can be twisted you know... how to wear... alamak... -.-

I tried wearing contact lenses the next day but my eyes were still uncomfortable, so I finally decided to make a new pair of glasses. I went to the optician over at Paya Lebar during lunchtime (since that was the only optic shop that's nearest to my office). They checked my eyes and found that my left eye have increased by another 50 degrees! Sob sob...

I was asked to wait for their sms in order to collect my glasses. This afternoon I received their msg, so I went to collect it during my lunchtime. It looks quite 'class' since it's frameless, but what's most important is that it must be comfortable. =)

When I reached home at night, I used the piece of cloth provided to clean my new glasses. Guess what, the left piece of plastic dropped out! (When you wear your glasses, the two small pieces on the left and right side will rest on your nose... those who wears glasses will know) I was 'amazed' to see this disaster since it was just born, lol... In the end, I had to go and dig for a spanner to tighten the grip. That's adventurous...

Well those things mentioned above are not my complains but just a 'journey' to share... =P I thank God for everything He has blessed me. I am blessed for being able to get a new pair of glasses. I heard from my older cousin that when he was younger, his family used to be poor. There was once his spectacle frame broke off. He had to use wires to connect them back and still continue wearing it wherever he goes.

We are so blessed with everything we possess yet we always take them for granted. They have been treated as natural and we seldom appreciate them. It is the same for our physical body. We take our body as natural and we never show any gratitude for our Creator, let alone to thank Him for creating us. But in His eyes, every single individual is like a rare diamond and there is only one YOU on this earth (even twins have different fingerprints and DNA). We are so precious to Him that Christ willingly died on the cross for us to grant us a gift, a gift so precious yet cannot be earned by human works, the gift of salvation.

'For He will deliver the needy when he cries. The poor also, and him who has no helper. He will spare the poor and needy, and will save the souls of the needy. He will redeem their life from oppression and violence; and precious shall be their blood in His sight.' (Psalm 72:12-14)
