I like this paragraph mentioned by Pastor Phil in his book,

'Raise the overcomer in abject poverty, and will have Abraham Lincoln. Stricken with infantile paralysis, the overcomer becomes a Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Burn him so severely that the doctors say he will never walk again, and you have Gelnn Cunningham, who set the world's one-mile record in 1934. Born black in a society filled with racial discrimination? You have a Booker T. Washington, a Marian Anderson, a George Washington Carver, or a Martin Luther King Jr. Label him a 'slow learner' or 'retarded' and write him off as ineducable, and the overcomer is Albert Einstein.
